Equilateral Technologies Engineers to Present Automated Frequency Deconfliction Solutions at MILCOM 2006
Lexington, MA, August 7, 2006 — Equilateral Technologies Inc. Solutions for automating frequency deconfliction for tactical networks will be presented at the 2006 Military Communications Conference (MILCOM) by engineers from Equilateral Technologies. MILCOM will be held October 23-25, 2006, in Washington, DC.
As tactical battlefield communication becomes more complex, the efficient use of spectrum becomes increasingly difficult. The paper to be presented, “Automated Frequency Deconfliction for Tactical Networks, by P. Boyer, P. Vicharelli, S. Reddy, and D. Fagen, will highlight some of the recent advances developed by Equilateral to address this important issue.
In this paper, a method is proposed for extending automated frequency planning techniques used in commercial networks so that they work with deconfliction and assignment in tactical networks. A sample application of the method demonstrates that controlled quality-capacity tradeoffs can be achieved even for highly non-uniform networking scenarios.
